A Message from our Chair of Governors 

It is a great honour to be the chair of governors at Hindsford Primary School.

It is a very special place!

The Governing Body are here to champion the school vision, ‘For Every Child to Reach their Potential and Live Life in all its Fullness’.

We have a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills and are so well placed to make balanced and purposeful all decisions.

Every decision made has the best interests of the children at its heart.

Our aim is to know the school from the inside out.

We do this by attending regular meetings and visits to the school. This gives us the opportunity to observe lessons, look at books, have conversations with staff and most importantly talk to the children.

It may be tough sometimes, but the excellent academic achievement, attendance numbers and the children’s very positive attitudes to school bear testament to the hard work and commitment of our school vision and all involved with the school.

Every day the school motto, ‘Our Best Always, Everywhere’, can be seen happening.

As guardians of the school’s vision, we will do all we can to ensure that your child has every opportunity to be the best they can be.

How is the Governing Body Structured?

Each governor has a delegated area of school life that they are responsible for:

Once a term, a governor morning, afternoon or day will be carried out in each of these areas.

These days consist of the governor being visible around school, talking to staff and pupils, looking at data, observing books and assessing the effectiveness of this area of school life.
